ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on moral development is essential for understanding how early education shapes children's sense of right and wrong. This study examines how early childhood education programs influence moral development. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's understanding of moral concepts, (2) evaluate the integration of moral development activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in ethical behavior and decision-making. A survey design is justified as it enables detailed data collection on educational impacts on moral development. A purposive sample of 110 children aged 4-6 years from preschools in Enugu State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its moral education programs. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's understanding of moral concepts, the effectiveness of moral development activities, and positive changes in ethical behavior and decision-making. Recommendations included integrating moral development activities into early childhood curricula and training educators to support children's ethical development.
